Dear Patients, with immediate effect the opening hours for askmyGP for St George’s, will be 6am to 12 noon. You can still call the practice on 01353 864100 if your medical need is urgent and you feel it cannot wait till the following day. We still operate a predominantly same day access service and also try to encourage continuity with the same clinician, and this can mean you wait a few days to have a follow up with that clinician due to leave and days they work. The reason for the change is the increase in demand which we have not been able to sustain and this has contributed to staff sickness.
Please feel free to consult a local Pharmacy for issues such as; Bites or Stings (insect or spider), Hay fever, Blisters, Constipation/Diarrhoea, Mouth Ulcers, Scabies, dry skin and Athletes foot. If you contact the surgery about these conditions you are likely to be referred to a Pharmacist for a call back in the first instance. If the Pharmacist feels it requires a Clinician review the case will be passed back to the surgery.
