💊 Access Your Contraception Pill Review at Your Local Pharmacy
Did you know that you can now have your contraception pill review carried out at your local community pharmacy?
Both Wellbeing Pharmacy and St Georges Pharmacy now offer this NHS service, providing a quick and convenient way to have your oral contraception reviewed by a specially trained pharmacist.
Pharmacists are highly skilled healthcare professionals who are able to:
- ✔️ Review your current contraception.
- ✔️ Check that your pill is still suitable for you.
- ✔️ Answer any questions or concerns.
- ✔️ Supply your next prescription where appropriate.
There is no need to contact the GP practice first – you can self-refer directly to either pharmacy to book your appointment.
Using your local pharmacy for routine contraception reviews helps improve access to care and allows GP appointments to remain available for patients with more complex healthcare needs.
If, during your appointment, the pharmacist identifies any concerns or feels you require further assessment, they will refer you back to St Georges Medical Centre to ensure you receive the appropriate ongoing care.
