The practice Dispensary is on the right as you come into the practice and is open from 8.30am to 12.00 noon and again 2pm to 6pm each week day.
Once a month the whole surgery is closed 2.30-6.30pm for staff training. When dispensary is closed we will put a message on this website, but feel welcome to phone ahead if you want to double check before travelling in specifically for dispensary services.
If you live more than one mile from a Pharmacy, we can dispense your medication for you at the practice.
If you fit the “dispensing criteria” you can collect your medication from our Dispensary at the surgery. We also deliver to Southery once a week – for more information talk to one of our Dispensary staff.
The practice Dispensary also offers:
- online ordering of prescriptions – contact the Dispensary staff for an application form.
- dossett boxes – for patients who have difficulty managing their medication.
Pharmacies that offer a repeat prescription service, including late nights or home delivery are: Boots (Ely), Lloyds (Littleport and Ely), Sainsbury’s (Ely), Wellbeing pharmacy (Littleport), St Mary’s Pharmacy (Ely) and Tesco (Ely).
Please help us by not putting in requests for repeat prescriptions too early. Please put your repeat medication requests in 7 working days before your medication is due, but certainly no later than 3 days before due. Our dispensary team and prescribers need a minimum of 3 working days turnaround time to process requests and have your medication ready for collection. In exceptional circumstances we can arrange medication sooner than 3 working days. For example going away on holiday, or going into hospital. However, it is important to communicate this clearly to the dispensers – A handwritten note on your repeat request will be sufficient.
